Q. Are Salmon family members still involved?
A. Yes! We have always been family owned and operated. In 1952, Daniel Salmon, Sr., and his wife Helen purchased the Adora Restaurant in Northborough and converted it to a nursing home. The Salmon family members have been active participants ever since. In the mid-1960s, Daniel Salmon, Jr., and his wife Dorothy (both RNs) took over, and soon began the expansion which now comprises 19 companies on six campuses and more than 1,200 employees. Today, the third generation is directly involved. Matt Salmon is the company’s Chief Operating Officer; Kate Salmon-Robinson is Vice President and Director of Marketing Communications and Community Relations; Andrew Salmon is the Executive Director of the Northbridge campus; Matt’s wife Kim Malloy-Salmon is the Director of Rehabilitation Services; and Kate’s husband Jeff Robinson is Managing Partner of Continuing Care Management, LLC.
