About The Willows

The Willows at Westborough began as a simple idea shared by Danny and Dottie Salmon some twenty years ago. They wanted to create a setting where active seniors could live life independently and make their own choices, yet always have the convenience and security of a familial, supportive atmosphere. The Salmons began by asking: “What would we want for ourselves?” Staying active and healthy, having convenient ways to perform daily tasks, and knowing that help is always available (even though we may not need it very often) were all part of the answer.

Guided by their vision, they completed the painstaking process of planning, building, and nurturing the community of residents and staff that make up The Willows. Since its opening in 1987, The Willows has set the standard as the premier retirement community for active seniors in this area. Today, third-generation family members Kathleen Salmon-Robinson, Matthew Salmon and Andrew Salmon carry on the commitment begun by their grandparents and founders Helen and Daniel Salmon, Sr., and nurtured by their parents, Dorothy and Daniel Salmon, Jr.

With family members as owners, managers, and residents, the Salmons have come to understand the needs of their community inside and out. That wealth of experience just keeps growing, which is why their quality, dedication and tradition of excellence are second to none.

The Willows at Worcester is coming!

SALMON Health and Retirement is pleased to announce another, new retirement community for active adults! The Willows at Worcester, located at 101 Barry Road, is currently under construction, and initial occupancy is anticipated in the fall.

This distinctive, new community for those 62 and over features luxury apartment homes and cottages on beautifully landscaped grounds, located in the second largest city in New England.
