Willows Happenings

One look at our monthly calendar and you will understand why our residents love living here! Our Resident Services Coordinator Polly Horenstein's energy and enthusiasm are contagious. For those who like to travel, there are overnight trips to New Hampshire, Maine, and Nantucket. Our residents have cruised in Europe and Alaska, seen the Trapp Family Lodge, and enjoyed lunch on the Concord River and aboard the Pilgrim Belle Riverboat in Plymouth. They visit museums and theaters throughout the state regularly, take advantage of local attractions, including historic Mechanics Hall and world renowned Worcester Art Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and have been seen at the Rhode Island Paw Sox, Suffolk Downs and Boston Duck Tours.

If you prefer to stay closer to home there's plenty to do right outside your door. Our community room, with stage and Yamaha piano, attracts small theater groups, noted concert pianists, Cabaret singers, and Jazz musicians. Lecture series are presented by Milton Paisner, Jack Craig, and local historical societies throughout the year. Take a short drive to Solomon Pond Mall, Christmas Tree Shop Plaza, and Trader Joe's, or enjoy the fresh air while you walk to Tatnuck Bookseller, HomeGoods, Stop & Shop, Staples, Marshall's, or any of the other stores and restaurants right across the street!

Whatever your recreational schedule entails, you are sure to quickly become a part of The Willows family…enjoying the companionship of good friends, picnicking at Elm Park, eating ice cream at local establishments, taking in a movie, going on a hayride, playing cards or board games, and sharing great laughs at cocktail parties in our beautiful sunroom or get-togethers at the gazebo.

The options are all here... the choices are all yours!
