Whitney Place Respite Program

For those with shorter-term needs, Whitney Place offers furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments for respite stays of three to thirty days.

A respite guest might be someone recuperating from a period of hospitalization, or a person who needs some assistance while their usual care partner is on vacation. Many individuals who are considering a more permanent move to Whitney Place find that a short-term respite stay is an ideal way to sample the lifestyle of assisted living.

Respite guests enjoy a safe, friendly environment with access to all the services offered to Whitney Place residents, including:

• Housekeeping
• Linen & laundry service
• Three meals daily
• Assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Medication monitoring
• On-site staff 24-hours a day

Guests may also participate in the full schedule of Whitney Place social and recreational activities.

New surroundings, a host of stimulating activities, and warm personal care all come together to give our respite guests a refreshing change from their regular routine.

Short-term respite stays are also available though The Tapestry Program at Whitney Place, an innovative assisted living program for seniors with Alzheimer's or related memory loss.
